Widely grown as a culinary herb and ornamental plant, spearmint is famous for its distinctive, fresh taste and fragrance.

Alongside its extensive use in cooking spearmint is popular for its properties as herbal tea.

Cooling, refreshing and uplifting, the most popular of all mints.

It has a delicate mint flavour and aroma with just a hint of sweetness.

Spearmint as a herbal tea especially gets popularity for soothing an upset stomach, stimulating proper functioning of the digestive system and supporting relaxation.

Use spearmint to “sweeten” the stomach and breath after sickness. Make a cup of fresh tea and rinse the mouth several times. This herb can be added to uplifting, refreshing  tea blends. Spearmint is a nice addition to honey or other foods for quick pick-me-up.

Spearmint herbal tea:

Put 2 teaspoons into a cup and fill with boiling water. Let the tea brew for 5-15 minutes. For delicious tea add honey, a slice of lemon or a few leaves of lemon verbena. For an uplifting and refreshing taste mix 1 teaspoon of  spearmint with 1 teaspoon of camomile.
