Crataegus is from the Greek κράτος kratos strength and άκης akis sharp, referring to the thorns of some species commonly called hawthorn, thornapple, May-tree,whitethorn,or hawberry.

Hawthorn, known as Crataegus, is a very aromatic herbal tea with a mild taste. Recommended to drink hot or as a cold refreshing tea. It Tastes great with honey and cinnamon.

Hawthorn may well be the herb supreme for the heart, and a healthy heart is essential to a long and productive life. As a tonic for the heart, it has an amazing ability to either gently stimulate or depress the heart’s activity as needed.

Hawthorn tea:

Place 2 teaspoons into a cup and fill with hot water. Let the tea steep for 5 minutes. As a sweetener add honey if desired, sprinkle little cinnamon into your tea for great taste and aroma.
