This small, beautiful, and gentle plant has long been used as a beverage tea but is equally valued for its powerful medicinal properties. It is one of the best all around herbs.

Ancient Greeks called it 'milo hame' which means 'apple of earth' because of its scent, as it is a very aromatic herb. It is well known for its calming and soothing properties.

Camomile herbal infusion:

Put 1-2 teaspoons into a cup and fill with boiling water. Let the tea brew for 5 minutes, then strain. For delicious tea add honey, a slice of lemon or a few leaves of lemon verbena. For an uplifting and refreshing taste mix 1 teaspoon of camomile with 1 teaspoon of spearmint. Alternatively, you can use 1/2 cup of camomile with  2 liters of hot water to add to the bathtub.
